evening
After my hike, I head to Skyland, to the nicest eatin' place in the park (the restaurant at Skyland Resort), and treat myself to a posh dinner: grilled grouper (catch of the day). Yum!!! And some peach cobbler to set on top.
Wildlife sightings in Shenandoah: chipmunks, squirrels, birds, groundhogs, and deer. Just like home.
A couple more overlook views.
The tunnel in Mary's Rock, which is solid granite, cut through in 1932, one year after the official ground-breaking of Skyline Drive.
Well, sunset, of course.
And here's where I end up to pitch my tent. At the edge of the woods, and yes, it's nearly dark. Spooky! Just what I wanted!
