day two ...
Here are some highlights from my second day in the park, beginning with my campsite (and nothing beats waking up in the Rocky Mountains!!!), and the second photo being of the valley where I watched the elk last night. One not altogether convenient thing about Rocky Mountain National Park, is it'll be a calm 75 degrees at the bottom of the mountain, but when you get to the top, dig out your best winter coat, because it is very cold and windy. Fine with me, though, as I use it to justify a lunch of pizza and hot cocoa in the Alpine Visitors Center, at the tip of a peak, steeply overlooking a valley.
