Start on St. Ignace Sand"
If you ask me how my
day went,
I’ll show you the
sand on my tent stakes.
I filmed the sunrise
over Lake Huron.
I worked a little;
I tried to dump the
dirt, pebbles, crumbs out of my tent,
But there’s still
some Maine, Virginia, and Colorado left in there.
I worked a little;
I wiped the morning
moisture off the bottom—
Smells like pine.
If you ask me how my
day went,
I’ll tell you just
as good as yesterday,
But ask me later.
The sun still sits
very low in the East.
The day can’t be
went until it’s gone.
